J.B.
nown as Jennifer Brown, is a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, CA whose musical style is Classically influenced, driven in Pop, laced with R&B, rooted in Gospel, and sprinkled with a little Country and Rock and Roll. Her musical journey began at the tender age of 14, when she began writing music.J.B. mastered her musical skills and talent at Henderson State University, where she trained under former Metropolitan Opera Soloist Diane Kesling. She furthered her musical skills at SAE-LA (School of Audio Engineering).
In 2010, J.B. was selected as a top 10 national finalist for the Snickers jingle songwriting competition. Her love for music and performing arts continued. J.B. later rocked the stage singing background vocals for artists such as Beck (Levi Jeans Station to Station tour), Kelly Clarkson (I Have A Dream), Michael Mercury (The House of Blues), and alongside Grammy nominated Nigerian-American artist Meaku.
J.B. has a big heart for the community. She spends her time volunteering by singing at different local events and outreach programs such as the Alcoholism Center for Women, Peace Over Violence, the Watts community, and Skid Row just to name a few. She has also taught music to challenged youth and communities of Los Angeles, CA.
